How much does it cost to build a website?
The costs of building a new website can vary greatly depending on project size and scope, with final cost ranging anywhere from a few hundred dollars to several thousand. At INSIGHT Web Productions, we specialize in working with small business owners and medium-sized businesses. We understand you have a limited budget, and we know how to make the most of it – with the majority of our project quotes coming in at least half the cost of our competitors. What is your payment structure on website design?
In lieu of a payment plan, we divide your total balance into four tiers, an initial retainer of 50% to begin design and development, followed by 20% at homepage design, then 20% at web design completion, and the final 10% due upon beta testing of the project.
What if I discover errors after the project launch? Am I going to get charged for the corrections?
Absolutely not. We only deliver W3C code-compliant websites, but if by chance you do notice a problem, we will fix it at no cost to you. This is not to say that the website will not become outdated down the road. As new technologies emerge, you may want to upgrade. Keep in mind that we offer deep discounts to previous clients.
What if I wanted to add something to my website after you are finished with it?
Any additional content you require post launch will be billed at a low hourly rate. Please contact us for a quote.
Design:
How long does it take to design a website?
It does not take long at all. We have been designing websites for many years now and we are efficient in all major web languages and software programs. Each project is custom designed yet in a fraction of the time it takes a competitor to do. Depending on the size of your project it could take as little as 5 days and as long as 3 months, with the majority of our projects taking less than two weeks.
Am I going to have a problem with duplicate content?
No. We do everything from scratch and we do not encourage the use of any content that is not yours. On our end, we never copy any content from any other websites.
Will my website work on all browsers?
Yes. During BETA testing, we test your website on all major browsers and operating systems (i.e., Windows & Mac, IE6, IE7, Firefox, Safari, Opera)
How fast will my website load?
Speed is never an issue on our end. We try to keep the file sizes as small as possible but many times it depends on where you host your website.
What if I discover errors after the project launch? Am I going to get charged for the corrections?
Absolutely not. All of our work is guaranteed and as part of the design we monitor your website for errors automatically. We will make any corrections at no cost to you and many times without you even knowing.
What if I wanted to add something to my website after you are finished with it?
If you want to add some changes to the website then we would have to charge you by the hour depending on how much work is involved. Simply ask us for a quote.
Do you outsource any of your work?
No, we are native Portland, Oregon web designers and Oregon is where your work stays.

SEO is the work done to your actual code to optimize it for the user and search engines. SEM is the marketing done post-launch that helps boost your site in search engines like Google and Yahoo.

No. No one can guarantee you any position in Google. If someone does then they are lying to you. Please contact us for more information.
How can people find my website in search engines, like Google and Yahoo?
You can add some common keywords in META tags and META description on your website (HTML page), and submit your site in search engine for free (e.g. Google, Yahoo!). For example, you can add the META tags like this:

- where word1 and word2 are the keywords to be changed.
The <TITLE> tag is also important -- as it describes your website and gives a brief introduction to users. You can add the TITLE tag like this:

Will Flash block the HTML code and prevent the site from getting picked up by search engines?
No, Flash will not block HTML content at all. Most search engine will just see Flash as an image, where some search engines such as Google can index text content inside Flash.
